Mindless Sheep!

The fearsome sheep warriors of the high-frontier stand ready to defend their rocky empire from the evils that beset this world! Iron-headed, steel-jawed and granite lipped, they fight for the right to chew their cud, and... do whatever it is sheep do when other, decent folks aren't watching!

(yeah, I know this looks like some of the art in the KFPanda art book - that's completely accidental, but I'll take it on the chin. This came about while doing drawings for my li'l girl's school; she needs to build a wind-chime with the theme, 'family'. So I figured we'd do ourselves as our zodiac animals. Son#1 is a goat (which is also represented as a sheep in the Chinese zodiac) - hence the above image) (sorry KFPanda folks, but I've been drawing ye olde Chinese animals for a good 18yrs now, very much predating your awesome film of awesomeness).

The Cops (and a goddess)

The floating goddess... This is a version of Chang-e, the moon goddess, but on a floating chunk of heaven. This came to me during a meeting, there's more to it (mountains and sky), but this is a partially complete version...

Of Monkeys and Men

Here be the monkey king, all a-floaty and mysterious! (he's talking to the king of rocks, who will not let the pilgrims pass)
Jin Tanah - the spirit of the place (as soon as I know more about the Jin Tanah, I'll write it up, but for now be afraid of his awesome place-based magicks!)



Toyol - the magicked monster created from a dead child, and sent to do evil in the world! Scarier than all heck!
Meanwhile, offworld - a rougher crowd of non-humans you'll find nowhere (ok, you will, but not in this drawings)
And then there was power-armour (useful for washing the car, walking the dog and fighting the mongrel-cur who would intrude upon your post-apocolyptian (is that a word?) idyl!!!

Pirates and Puritans and a whole passel o' trouble!

Listening to Hoyt Curtin's EXCELLENT BotP soundtrack and tidying up pics for the ol' Bloggo. What more could a man need?I think this image is Sun Wu Kong the day after his birthday, when he HAS to wear the new hat his monkey-mummy gave him, but he doesn't really want to cos it's a floppy hat, and floppy hats are SOOOOO last epoch, and besides, how will he achieve enlightenment with this stupid hat falling in his eyes allathetime! WARGH!

The Wombat is the sleakest of all water-dwelling mammals. With his thick downy coat and prehensile tail, he is well adapted to the darkest parts of the ocean, where he wrestles with giant molluscs and the occasional recalcitrant zoologist.

This pair set out from Bathurst town at 11am. The puritan stopped to witness 13 times, while the pirate spent his time waylaying coach-tynes and pillaging. Who reached Lithgow first?
With colour, I am still disgruntled and almost peevish!
