Din-oh-saur!

"Woof!" said the large-clawed phlapozonct as it scritched its way out of the quagmire."In 150 million years, no one will even remember me!", he thought sadly.Just then a light appeared in the sky above...

"ooh! It's a sign of things to come!".

Cowboy Rejects

These images were part of a course proposal, but the client decided the whole western theme wasn't serious enough for the content.

Mainstreet
- Sheriff's office on the left, saloon on the right (Madame Foo's Celestial Heaven Parlour and pizza joint is upstairs).

...and the high sierras in the distance.

Sheriff, Zane LaFontaine and her deputies.
(I went High Noon for the tall guy, and Django for the short fellow)

Map of the town doubles as a learning plan.
The Sheriff's star was an 18th birthday present from my friends in school, lo those many years ago.

Reusing character images in sepia, coupled with a bunch of my own cowboy crap - voila! Title page. The woodgrain is from the laminate on my work-desk, the bolo (string tie) on the right is the only tie I own! (Cos I's a rebel, and I never never never, lah lah lah).

Qigong, FIGHT!!!

These two are rejected character designs for a 'master' character, designed to teach people... um... something.

Of Monkeys and Men

Here be the monkey king, all a-floaty and mysterious! (he's talking to the king of rocks, who will not let the pilgrims pass)
Jin Tanah - the spirit of the place (as soon as I know more about the Jin Tanah, I'll write it up, but for now be afraid of his awesome place-based magicks!)

Toyol - the magicked monster created from a dead child, and sent to do evil in the world! Scarier than all heck!
Meanwhile, offworld - a rougher crowd of non-humans you'll find nowhere (ok, you will, but not in this drawings)
And then there was power-armour (useful for washing the car, walking the dog and fighting the mongrel-cur who would intrude upon your post-apocolyptian (is that a word?) idyl!!!
My favourite drawing - all of us, AND it's signed by Wolverine!!!

Meanwhilerer... under the sea. A prawn can't get no respeck!
Nor can a cutey bird. (drew this while on the phone)
Some sort of tin warriorAnd now... I sleep.

stuff and non-sense.

What if your mummy made a cup of tea, and the tea was haunted by a Djin from the far orient? Well... she'd get a fright AND 3 wishes! But always remember to make the last wish 'go back in the lamp' (or porcelain cup in this case).

This isn't finished, but I'm liking it enough to post is already. Please like it too.

MONSTER HEADS!

Ok, so I was discussing projects at work, and needed the extra focus that comes from occupied hands. And lo! These beasties popped into existance. I dunno what they are yet, but they're not vegetarian, I'm telling you that much!

ZOMBIE DINOSAURS

Zombie triceratops (the 2nd coolest of all dinosaurs) meets a Moa. And before anyone points out the impossible timelines here, let me remind you ZOMBIES ARE REAL!!!! Just ponder that for a moment, and then imagine how many dead dinosaur bits are inside your car's engine RIGHT NOW!!!!!

'ROWRRRRRGGGGGGGHH!' (Translated from Dinosaurese: 'brains').

RANDOM VILLAGERS
He is the hunter, he hunts. With a bow and laquer arrows. Cos he's cool. And stylish.

There's some more from this series, other folks in the village mostly. I think I need ot update the look of this blog soon (and post more content).

Now go to sleep!

Meeting Robot

So we had a team meeting, and I was talking and drawing and not thinking, and this robot sort of evolved on the page...

I think he's a hamburger delivery robot, and his name is 'Texas Pete', but he lives in Batu Pahat, where he met a lovely She-Bot. (She works in an iron smelting plant as a bucket tip+fill control system. She's not much to look at, but WOW, she can process 47.352 smelting buckets in a 30 minute shift-cycle).
